A wedge awning is the simplest awning we make and the sturdiest. The frame braces back to the wall in a triangular profile — no arms, no folding, nothing that moves — so wind load goes straight into the fixings rather than into a mechanism. There is nothing to service and nothing to retract.
It suits windows, doorways and walkways, and commercial frontages where the awning has to look tidy and stay that way. We build to the opening, so the awning fits the window rather than the window being worked around, in a range of fabrics and colours. If you would rather choose when you have shade, a retractable awning is the trade to weigh; if you want the shape itself to do visual work, look at a bow awning.
Made in our own workshop, measured on site, and fitted across Johannesburg and Pretoria. Mitch quotes every job himself, and the price quoted is the price you pay.

A fixed awning with a triangular profile — the frame braces back to the wall in a wedge rather than cantilevering out on arms. No moving parts at all, which is what makes it the sturdiest thing we fit.
Better than anything with arms, because there is nothing to fold and the load goes straight back into the wall fixings. It stays where it is put. That is the trade — you gain stability and give up the option of retracting it.
